NZ Superstock Grand Prix This Saturday

The next meeting at the Robertson Holden International Speedway is the NZ Superstock Grand Prix this Saturday 7th December, starting at the earlier time of 5:30pm. A huge field of almost 100 Superstocks will make for an intense night of action!

The top quality lineup includes current 1nz Jason Long, 2nz Peter Rees and 3nz Simon Joblin and a host of former national champions. Last season's top three Grand Prix finishers are also present; 52p Scott Joblin, 126k Asher Rees and 581p Jordan Dare.

Holding the event over one night means a relatively tough format, and the eventual winner will certainly have earned it. The field will be split into four groups for a pair of reverse-grid heats each, with the top six pointscorers from each group qualifying. They will be joined by another two drivers from a last-chance repechage, making 26 for the three finals heats.

Stockcars and Sidecars complete the race programme, which commences at 5:30pm. Admission prices are Adults $25 (16 years and over), $10 for children aged 8-15, and $60 for a family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. 7 and under are FREE.
