Speedway is back this Saturday night with a huge night of racing hitting the dirt!
Superstocks will line-up for the Palmerston North PartsWorld 248 Superstock Global Challenge - New Zealand’s finest drivers along with Chris Brocksopp from the UK and Allan Woods from Australia will battle it out for the ultimate world 248 Superstock supremacy! Robertson Prestige International Speedway is home to many of the country’s fastest and most competitive Superstock drivers who are all in with a chance of winning. Local hard chargers will all have the title hopes within their grasp, but with expected visiting drivers this could be a real battle of the bravest to achieve ultimate success.
The DTH Racing Stables New Zealand Minisprint Championship is also a highlight on the race programme this Saturday night. The most prestigious championship title on offer for the class, with a quality field of drivers attending its anyone’s guess who will stand on top of the podium! Local hometown heroes may have the home soil advantage and are likely podium contenders, with drivers including 41p Shane Dewar, 8p Nathan Jefferies, 18p Daniel Nickel, 72p Elliot Heron and 57p Ben Vaughan all in serious contention of the title. Reigning 1nzv Dylan Smith will be looking to go back-to-back which hasn’t been seen since Christian Hermansen completed a three-peat back in the 2019/20 Season. With drivers from Stratford and Wanganui rounding out a quality field, this New Zealand Minisprint Championship is likely to go down to the wire.
Metal crunching Stockcars will be battling it out on Saturday night for the chequered flag. Side-by-side and bumper-to-bumper, the drivers are always willing to put on a show for the fans!
The future of speedway, Youth Ministocks round out a huge night of racing.
Admission prices are $25 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $60 for a Family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.
Tickets can be purchased from our ticket booths on race day at Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 5pm - gate sales only.
