A Derby teams racing extravaganza next Saturday night, 29th March at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway, with something to cater for everyone in the family! Add in Stockcars, Midgets and Adult Ministocks, plus an all-In Demolition Derby and it will be a spectacular night!
The Peter Barry Memorial Derby Teams Champs, featuring hard-charging Demolition Derby car teams racing; it’ll be survival of the fittest, fastest, and bravest to make it through to the final. Peter Barry was a hard hitting Stockcar driver who sadly passed away in 2009. His humble beginnings in derby-car teams racing are honoured by the annual Peter Barry Memorial Derby Teams Champs, which has steadily grown in popularity!
Each team has five Demolition Derby cars on track at a time, with a skilled driver managing to balance speed, hitting and car conservation to end up on top of the pile at the end of a tough night’s racing. Entries close Friday 21st March, please follow this link if you are wanting to enter a team.
Adding to the programme, metal crunching Stockcars will be battling it out for the chequered flag. Side-by-side and bumper-to-bumper, the drivers are always willing to put on a show for the fans! These fearless drivers have had a few weeks off the dirt, so expect them to make their impact felt at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway.
The return of open-wheel Midget racing will complement the packed programme, these spectacular drivers always excel at putting on a high octane show for the fans with plenty of side-by-side racing, and this meeting is no exception! The wheel-to-wheel racing will leave you wanting more!
Adult Ministocks will also add to the exciting programme, and to end the night an all-in Demolition Derby will cap off a spectacular night at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway.

Please note: Out of town contracted cars, before your name will appear on any confirmed drivers lists a clearance from your home track is required if your track is running the class. This is a Speedway New Zealand rule.
Tickets are available to pre-purchase online from www.ticketek.co.nz, (tickets purchased incur an additional service fee) or on race day from Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 5pm. Racing starts at 6pm.
Admission prices are $30 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $70 for a Family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.
