The boys are back in town at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway this Thursday 21st November, for the International Sprintcar Series. Sprintcars are the fastest cars on dirt with their 800 horsepower engines, big wings and wide, wide tyres and will provide spectacular wheel-to-wheel racing. A quad of rapid Americans and an Aussie will battle against New Zealand's best in what is set to be a spectacular night of speedway racing. Plus Superstocks, Stockcars, Midgets and Minisprints adding to the packed programme.
USA Drivers Brady Bacon, Thomas “TMEZ” Meseraull, Joel Meyers Jnr and Jonathon Allard will represent their country on New Zealand soil for the International Sprintcar Series. Brady Bacon hails from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and is a third-generation driver and started racing when he was 5 years old! He has driven Quarter Midgets, Micro Midgets, and both Midgets and Sprintcars and was a part of the Driver Development Program with Chip Ganassi Racing.
Thomas “TMEZ” Meseraull is no stranger to New Zealand shores having competed last season in a Midget and this year we will see him behind the wheel of a Sprintcar. Hailing from Indiana and racing full time in the USAC National Midget Series, TMEZ is no stranger to different types of dirt oval racing having also competed in the recent Stockcar World Final in Skegness, England.
Joel Meyer Jnr, current 1nz Sprintcar Champion, Gold Cup Champion and 11x Kart Champion officially started his racing career at 14 years old and now races both 360/410 Sprintcars. Joel is from Sebastopol in Northern California and won the New Zealand Sprintcar Title just short of his 18th Birthday last season at Western Springs Stadium, Joel also placed second at the Sprintcar Grand Prix at Ruapuna Speedway last season. He could prove unbeatable on the night once he gets his set-up sorted.
Jonathon Allard is no stranger to New Zealand race fans, having successfully competed at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway several times over the past few seasons. A veteran of the Sprintcar class having compete in 410 Winged Sprintcars for the past 20 years, Jonathon is the current New Zealand Sprintcar Grand Prix Champion and placed second in the North Island Sprintcar Championship as well.
Former Australian Sprintcar Classic winner Brock Hallet will be the Australian driver looking to make his mark on the dirt at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway. Brock is no stranger to the winner’s circle with victories at the Presidents Cup at Avalon Raceway in January, Avalon Track Champion, Battle of the Bridge winner, Warrnambool Track Champion and Grand Annual runner-up.
Formidable drivers from New Zealand include 2nz Dean Cooper & 3nz Jamie Larsen, Max Guilford, Rodney Wood and Stephen Taylor who all are in with a chance of a podium during this International Sprintcar Series. This is sure to be one of the best nights of high powered spectacular Sprintcar action.

Tickets are available to pre-purchase online from www.ticketek.co.nz, (tickets purchased incur an additional service fee) or on race day from Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 5pm.
Admission prices are $30 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $70 for a Family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.
