Boxing Day, 26th December sees another night full of variety at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway from 6:30pm. Headlining the meeting is the AFC Motorcycles Manawatu Sidecar Championship, Super Saloon Boxing Day Shootout, plus spectacular Superstocks and metal-crunching Stockcars along with the bedlam of the crowd favourite Demon Energy Drinks Ramp Demolition Derby!
The daredevil Sidecars will be racing side-by-side for the prestigious AFC Motorcycles Manawatu title. Fans are to expect fast and thrilling racing, with initial interest suggesting this is one of the biggest and best Sidecar meetings on offer this season. With many local rider and swinger combinations who have been competing consistently this season, it's anybody’s guess who will take the top spot on the podium.
The Super Saloons are back racing for the Boxing Day Shootout - the wide tyres, V8 engines and distinctive low sportscar bodies, these drivers are impressive racing wheel-to-wheel every lap! The racing is exhilarating, and the local drivers including Peter Bengston and the Halcrow family will be making sure the shootout winner is a local!
Superstocks will be also hitting the dirt with many drivers doing their final tuning for the upcoming New Zealand Superstock Championship at Huntly Speedway. The fast and spectacular racing from speedway's glamour class should not be missed! The metal-crunching Stockcars will also be willing to put on a show for the fans!
Rounding out a massive Boxing Day is the ever-popular Demon Energy Ramp Demolition Derby Race. A field of road cars with windows and headlights removed will battle it out as they leap in the air while racing in the popular Ramp Demolition Derby. Extra thrills and spills are provided by this ramp that must be negotiated during their travels around the Arena, along with duelling the other maniacs on the track. This is always great family entertainment and will leave you in fits of laughter and makes it a memorable evening at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway.
Classes racing are; Sidecars, Super Saloons, Superstocks, Stockcars, Adult Ministocks, Ramp Derby.

Admission prices are $25 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $60 for a family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.
Tickets can be purchased from our ticket booths on race day at Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 5pm. Gate sales only, cash or EFTPOS. No credit cards, no paywave.
