Next Meeting: NZ Minisprint Champs

The Top Cat Contracting 2025 New Zealand Minisprint Championship will be hotly contested from 6pm on Saturday 25th January at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway. The most prestigious championship title on offer for the class, with a quality field of drivers attending it's anyone’s guess who will stand on top of the podium!

Local hometown heroes may have the home track advantage and are likely podium contenders, with drivers including 3nzp Nathan Jefferies, 18p Daniel Nickel, 81p Glen McCutcheon and 77p Matt Podjursky all in serious contention of the title. Reigning 1nzs Duane Hickman will be looking to go back-to-back at the championship which hasn’t been done since Christian Hermansen completed a three-peat back in the 2018/19 Season. With drivers from Stratford including 28s Karl Uhlenberg, 38s Donald Kuriger, and 85s Erin Uhlenberg and Wanganui drivers including 53v Dylan Smith, 98v Ethan Linklater and 92v Roger Smith rounding out a quality field, this Top Cat Contracting New Zealand Minisprint Championship is likely to go down to the wire.

The Manawatu Adult Ministock Champs will also be hotly contested with local drivers 8p Caleb Keane, 66p Coltyn Bagrie, 56p Holly Lowe, 17p Rachel O`Hagan and 22p Kris Rassmussen all in with a chance of being on the podium after having a successful season racing, but with expected visiting drivers from Stratford the title is likely to go down to the wire.

Adding to the massive night at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway metal crunching Stockcars will be battling it out for the chequered flag. Side-by-side and bumper-to-bumper, the drivers are always willing to put on a show for the fans! These metal crunching, fearless drivers have had a few weeks off the dirt, so expect them to make their impact felt at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway.

Classes in action are Minisprints, Sidecars, Adult Ministocks, Stockcars. Competitors who wish to compete at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway, Saturday 25th January, please register if you are intending to race - www.pnspeedway.co.nz/forms/25-01-2025.

Please note: Out of town contracted cars, before your name will appear on any confirmed drivers lists a clearance from your home track is required if your track is running the class. This is a Speedway New Zealand rule.

Tickets are available to pre-purchase online from www.ticketek.co.nz, (tickets purchased incur an additional service fee) or on race day from Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 5pm.

Admission prices are $30 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $70 for a Family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.
