Demolition Derby Information

Your race car and safety gear must comply with all relevant rules and regulations set out in the Speedway New Zealand rulebook here (7.7MB pdf). If you are entering a Ramp Derby, your race car will also need to comply with these roll cage requirements (150KB pdf).

Our Derby events are free to enter, however you will need to purchase a Speedway New Zealand Derby licence online via the Speedway New Zealand website here. Once you have a licence, enter your details here to complete your registration for the Demolition Derby on 9th March.

Please note: You must purchase your derby license online prior to the event, you can not purchase a license in person on the day of the event. Scrutineering of cars starts at 2:30pm and must be completed by 4:30pm.

No bull bars or towbars. Must be a car - no utes, trucks or vans.
